They may have known exactly who He was, I’m not totally sure.
Kinda going over to that thing that Doug mentioned... I mean one day everyone’s yelling hosanna and laying down branches for Him to travel on and the next day it’s crucify Him.
Or
John 6:26 New International Version (NIV)
26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
They were looking for Him cause they (curious to who “they” is cause it couldn’t have been everyone)wanted to eat not cause of who Jesus was. (How I read into it) which is kinda scary. Sometimes I wonder.... do I really love God for who He is or is it cause I want something out of Him.
the gospel probably should precede miracles.God healing someone’s body is great but what about their soul.

Yeah, here’s a verse about Jesus mentioning something similar to what you’re saying. . John 5:39 English Standard Version (ESV) 39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me Not sure how to answer your question but this verse came to mind. So does that mean the bible can't help our with relationship God because it describes who his? Like how the bible "says taste and see the Lord is good". The bible says God is good, but we got to taste God for ourselves? I think the bible definitely does help in our relationship with God. It’s a great way to know the character of God. Not to mention it’s a great way to test the spirits. Ive heard Ravenhill say something like “a people that know their God, not a people that know their bible(paraphrasing)”. I’d love to ask him exactly what he meant by that but I suspect he’s talking to people that know some scripture but seem to totally miss the heart of God. I guess “religious” types. There’s a relationship to be had. Not just reading a couple bible verses or knowing some of the bible. Gods a living being and we can spend time with Him... But you know this stuff already. I’m assuming you want to go deeper but are struggling with how to do that. I’ve been there, still am. Just keep pressing on Larry. Like a sister once told me... just a couple more reps

Didn't the Pharisees memorize the entire old testament? Most of them rejected Jesus. If so how does that relate today and with trying to get closer to God? Yeah, here’s a verse about Jesus mentioning something similar to what you’re saying. . John 5:39 English Standard Version (ESV) 39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me Not sure how to answer your question but this verse came to mind.

Does this verse relate to fasting in anyway? "But food does not bring us closer to God: We are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. " - 1 Corinthians 8:8 NIV Good question. I wonder if it could play a role in fasting.

I’m not sure how I’d respond. Both situations would be real difficult for me. Technically It’s just like going to see my old friends once and a while though. I don’t rejoice in some of the things they do or say but I wait for opportunities to speak Jesus to them. The only time some of my friends probably ever hear about Jesus is probably when Ive talk about Him.

Just noticed how it seems Potiphar's wife tried to get Joseph to sleep with her multiple times, but he refused. I wonder why he didn't try to tell her husband what was happening or somehow get a other servant to be a witness for him? "and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he refused. “With me in charge,” he told her, “my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.
One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house. " - Genesis 39:7-12 NIV Weird right? But it would probably be hard to tell your boss (who knows how close Potiphar and Joseph actually were) who is high in status that his wife is unfaithful and that she’s propositioning you on top of it. And yet another example of everything working to the good for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. What would have happened if he never went to jail and got into pharaohs good books. Jacob and the children of Israel wouldn’t have gone to Egypt then Moses might have never been born.... more and more possible spirals. Crazy to think about

No, I don’t have any kind of physical limitations in that sense.
have you considered dealing with your trauma spiritually?

I’ve only seen the one on YouTube which seems newish. Maybe from the 2000’s or 90’s. That animated one looks like it could be interesting

Something I consider as a limitation for me is fear of man or embarrassment. I think they are probably one in the same thing. Being able to not only freely talk about Jesus in a world where religion and politics are a “no-go” “offensive” but to do it in any situation and whenever/all the time. Also fear of being religious and not Spirit led.

J I understand what you’re going through to an extent. I hope God shows you what may be in the way IF there is something. And if not don’t lose heart. Everything works to the good for those that love the Lord. In the book of Ruth, after all the husbands die Naomi and Ruth go to Israel. Naomi wants to change her name to Mara cause she said God treated her bitterly. (I used to think she did right in changing her name)Well, if no one died, they wouldn’t have gone to Bethlehem. Jesus would have never been born since He came from that bloodline. Naomi probably looks at it waaay different now when God shows her the big picture after dieing. She actually even gets called Obeds Mother at the end of the book. This deeper understanding came to me last night. All things truly do work to the good for those who love the Lord. I have gone through what your explaining. I’m just hoping maybe this will be able to edify or comfort you somehow. No matter how hard this is, it really is for the good. If you’re up to it give Ruth a read. Seems some people in the old testament had a close relationship with God, I don't know if the potential of that relationship is the same, compared to what we have through the new covenant through Christ? I used to wonder the same and thought how awsome it would be to have your face glow like Moses’ or something. 2 Corinthians seems to suggest the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit is actually more glorious than that which even Moses had beaming off his face. 2 Corinthians 3:7-8 (NIV) 7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?

Rejecting the thought the instant it enters the mind is when I get victory. playing with thoughts for even a second brings the flood in. I pray for perseverance, patients and long suffering for you.
