Did the early Christians during the time of 12 apostles reach the baptism of fire? Yes, I think they did. In some of the videos Doug talks about how some people during the first century reached the Baptism of Fire, while others didn't. He compares the situation of the Church of Jerusalem in the Book of Acts, with the situation in Corinth. In Jerusalem they are selling their property and distributing to each as they have a need, and generally just walking in love and holiness. But in Corinth there seems to be a lot more sin in the congregation. Sure, they are Spirit-filled and the gifts are in operation, but it appears as though they haven't reached the Fire (perhaps some of them reached it, I don't know).
