Why is it so easy to backslide. Seriously this not even tolerable anymore. All it takes is just stop praying for like a day and the darkness gets me then it becomes even harder to pray. Seriously if I were allowed to hate myself I would. But that doesn’t do me any good. Prayer is kinda like exercise you kinda have to force yourself to do it. What am I even posting this for. I should just try to solve this problem by myself.

Well when you want relationship with God then you will want to pray instead of feeling forced to. I don’t think not praying is the issue, it’s probably a heart (love) issue. Sin is conceived in the mind and is a choice. But also you could not be doing anything wrong and things will still get worse. It’s God training you. Try watching Doug’s video about trapped in darkness? Could be God’s crazy boot camp.

So less Godly influence to have a relationship with God time moment.

It must feel like your flesh is really strong and that you feel like you dont want God. Recently God has been doing amazing things to me and I want to encourage you. Firstly, your flesh is ALWAYS going to resist God. Period. This is why we have the holy spirit. The holy spirit supernaturally empowers us to love GOD, to love our neighbors and to Hate sin. I can testify that there is a safety in Christ from yourself. "for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. " Philippians 2:13 ESV I fully believe that God is refining you and allows you to backslide so you can learn that your flesh has no power and to get you to a place where you wont want to turn from him anymore. I know this because thats what God did for me. I want to let you know that we are not supposed to use our flesh to resist evil at all. If your being tempted by the enemy, pray that your cup would be filled with the holy spirit and strive to continually keep it full. Take it day by day. I used to believe that the holy spirit is only supposed to "help" us resist sin. God helped me to realize however that he doesnt need our help. We have to completely rely on the holy spirit to fight our battles. Without the holy spirit we are fullblown sons of satan: "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. " John 6:63 ESV If you just dont feel like praying, pray with tounges. The holy spirit knows what you need better than you do. Ive found for me personally that speaking in tounges fills my cup. God will show you what works for you. Trust that God knows what hes doing and that he knows what its going to take. He loves you so much and his grace IS sufficient for you. Remember that all things go to the good. Rejoice even when bad things happen to you because God can use it to refine you. I really love you man. Im going to pray that whatever it is that God gave me that is helping me overcome that he would give it you. Even if I dont get it back. Even if that means I turn away from him tommorrow and never come back. Trust that God is big enough and know that in him, his work WILL be finished in you.

Jesus would and did on the cross. The spirit that was in him is now in me and he encourages me to pray that and mean it. I am confident that he will honor that kind of prayer.

Bless you guys. After baptism I still struggle with lack of self discipline lack of motivation and lots of running away. Dont worry about that. After baptism it took me a while to stop willfully sinning. Just seek God more as He works with you to grow at a pace that is according to His will. However don’t know how much time we have and the Lord said to draw some red lines in a recent prophetic word Doug put out.

Yes I saw that video, for that I need that discipline;D But itll be ok. “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.” (1 Corinthians 11:41-32). If you want more discipline then judge the things you say and do and think. Judge it according to the word of God and not the standards of the world. If it doesn’t line up with the Word then try avoiding it.

Yes I judge myself a lot quite harshly and I get so much of anxiety that it makes me runaway from it. I need discerement too. Maybe I apply Word of God in a wrong way.

Maybe I apply Word of God in a wrong way. well look up verses about what God says you are (child of God, joint heir with Christ, etc.), verses about what God says you have (power, love, sound mind etc.) verses on how to act and not to act. If you judge yourself based on world standards (looks, status, etc.) then it could cause anxiety. However if you keep falling just get back up. There is a verse that says a righteous man falls seven times and gets back up

Worldly standards wasnt what I meant, I get anxiety from the verses about the wicked people that I judge myself I am. And probably because of lack of discerement I apply them to myself. Hence my anxiety. I need discipline to read Word and speak over myself some light.

Well I would recommend not applying those verses about the wicked to yourself and apply the ones about the righteous. It is Christ who makes us righteous and Abraham believed God and it was counted unto to him as righteousness. The anxiety could be coming from condemnation and there is no condemnation in Christ.
