That's what addiction does to people. Make sure to moderately get off or cut your intake in case you've tried to stop altogether and were not delivered right away. When you get delivered also make sure not to listen to enticing voices that will tell you to have one just because.

You should probably just resist as much as you can.

Hey so right after i prayed yesterday when i posted, it felt like there was a strong taste for the smoking in my mouth which could have been why you didn't want to stop and also it kind of felt like heaviness in the lungs and frustration without the smoking which is what addiction is like when you don't get what pleases the flesh.


Do you know anything about this or do you feel any better since yesterday?

Hey Helen, this is a war. Demons will try and do whatever they can to keep you bound. When you try to stop they will put a strong taste for it in your mouth and heart, they will cause frustration and anger when you go without, they will remind you of the false "peace" you had when you did it. They will try to remind you of how it made you "feel" better or how if you listen to them that it will make it all go away. It's a lie.

The next time it comes, pray to God for strength, rebuke it in Jesus name, and ask the Father to help you. Then resist it. Pray, fast, separate yourself from evil, and trust the Lord. It won't be easy, but know this:
1) God is a very present help in a time of need (Psalms 46:1)
2) God will direct you steps if you trust in Him with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6)
3) If you ask the Lord for a good thing and believe Him, He won't give you evil in return. (Matthew 7:9-11)
