Hi. I am dealing with serious depression and anxiety.I have thought of suicide frequently. I am really at the point of dragging myself through life. I started reading the Bible and praying 2 years ago, I am 49. I pray frequently through the day, yet don't hear Jesus. I have flat out asked to hear his voice and asked what is standing in the way of the Holy Spirit eneterring so that I can give glory to God. I really want to know and be known by Jesus, but fact is, I talk to Him , but can't hear Him talking to me. I do all talking and wait to hear from Jesus. Please take 15 seconds to pray for me. |

Whatever the Lord gave me or did to overcome suicide and depression for me I ask he pours out to you in full measure. if he wants to take from me and give to you I'll give it up even if I fall back into it. In Jesus name

Jesus, please heal this one. Please give her an overwhelming sense of your presence so that the enemy's lies won't stick anymore. Please use this for the good and show her how much God loves her. I pray that you'd recieve peace in Jesus name. We love you and cant stand to see you hurting. Thank you for posting here. We're here to help.

subee, I hope you're doing ok. I'm a woman about your age and I have experienced the exact same thoughts and feelings. It helped me some to realize who Jesus is (the Truth), and that these kinds of thoughts and feelings are coming from a source that is a lie. If you've ever had someone lie to you or betray with deceit, just know that is exactly who the enemy is and what he is trying to do with your thoughts and feelings right now. He is a liar who wants you to buy into all the lies he is telling you about yourself and your worth; and then he wants you to really feel that all of these destructive lies are the truth. They're not! Feel angry that you are being spiritually lied to in order to feel like this, just don't keep embracing these lies as truth. Keep pursuing Jesus. It also helped me to really just pour my heart out to God about exactly what I was feeling, the suicidal thoughts, all of it. Express to him exactly what you are feeling. I acknowledged this thing was too big for me to handle and kept on giving it to Him. I also watched a lot of YouTube videos when I couldn't sleep - NDEs, visitations with Jesus, prayers for protection, deliverance, and breakthrough, listened to Christian radio in the car, etc... Just know, you are not doing anything wrong. This kind of thing happens spiritually to all believers, but when you're depressed you feel like it's just you. David had a close friendship with God and even he complained of God's apparent absence, "Why have you forsaken me? Why do you remain so distant? Why do you ignore my cries for help?" I just picked up the book The Purpose Driven Life this week and there is actually chapter in there called 'When God Seems Distant'. There's also a video link at the end of the chapter that you can watch for free at www.purposedriven.com/day14. You will come out of this. None of what you are feeling right now is coming from God, so it can only be coming from one other source. Reject it, again and again. That's the other things that helped me. The truth of this verse: "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Keep resisting and he will flee, because he has to, even if you're just saying "No!" to those thoughts in your head in your head, that is resistance and he will have to flee. |
