So demetri it seems to me something demonic might be preventing you from communicating with your family. Has you Father ever embarrassed you or traumatize you in any way when you were young. When you were younger did you ever dabble in the occult new age Pokémon anime. Or did you ever participate in any ritual that might have invented demonic spirits. Has you Father ever spoke words of death or fuses on you unintentionally like never amount to anything” any emotional mental abuse. Have you messed with astrology? If you sense unforgivness ask Holy Spirit to show you the root of it.

I've never heard him say anything negative to me as far as I know cept for maybe 4-5 years ago but I was being a total jerk and this problem is way older than that. As far as occult and stuff goes. Not that I can remember. I've always been afraid to use ouijis and stuff.. Have I read a horoscope in a newspaper or a fortune cookie in the past? Yes. I've never believed them though and knew they were garbage. Does that still count? At the same time I've asked the Lord to crush anything I might have messed with in the past. |

What about meditations or drug use? Yeah probably should avoid horoscope.i sometimes screw up and read it online. Lord forgive me. Perhaps this can help you have your dad pray the fathers blessing over you. This video from Sid Roth with guest speaker Craig Hills talks about the fathers blessing. Is your dad Christian? Maybe there is some anger with your dad because you might feel like he didn’t raise you in the truth or to pursue a relationship with God. Perhaps there is bitterness as if he didn’t do a good job with you, but he is still your authority figure however I don’t know and this is all speculation. If that’s the case then work on forgiveness and realize not every body is perfect and some people just don’t know what they are doing. But maybe I’m wrong.

My dad was involved with the kids programs and always took us to the events etc. For sure he could have done better to raise us in the Lord. My mom was the more fiery one haha. And I don't think you're wrong. Ive actually thought what youve mentioned not too long ago. Im going press into the Lord and ask him about this. |

Maybe how you see your dad didn't meet your expectations of a true christian who is in deep relationship with God? Maybe your seeking that intimate relationship with God, but your dad is not so much so there is some let down perhaps? He's not meeting your standards of a true christian and so maybe you feel some bitterness/anger since he didn't teach you how to have relationship with God, but your still under his authority. If this is the case then there might be some pride and seeing yourself as better because your actually trying to have relationship with God and not being a hypocrite like your dad? (not saying your dad is a hypocrite or that you see yourself as better. I don't know where you guys are at in your walk with the Lord and you guys could be really close to God. You haven't really given that many details so I'm just throwing out speculations that could be wrong).

You may be on to something with expectations. I have insanely high expectations (especially towards my parents and fam) that even I can no way live up to. It actually causes major discouragement when I can't live up to my own expectations. This is something I have prayed about to stop doing and is very hard to stop cause it seems so natural. I can also be very critical. I even had expectations with God that I realized and had to repent of. I would that all this stuff got refined out when I was young. It's just so much.

I think the underlying issue is pride being the root of all this. Ask God to humble you or watch some videos about getting rid of pride. Why do you have high expectations for you and others? Are you asking for things not according to God’s will? What do you really want? Who do you really want to be?

I don't know why my expectations are like that. I just always generally took things to the extreme. I don't think I pray out of His will (could be wrong). I don't even really generally pray for anything except refining and to be more like Jesus anymore etc. And salvation or prayer requests for others. Since the Lord started working in/on me the only thing I want to do is please him and work for him. I honestly have no ambitions or goals. I didn't really have any before Christ either because I generally saw myself as a loser and hopeless and way behind in life...but again since He came to me the only thing Ive wanted to do is to please Him in every way and live for Him.

I had some dreams yesterday also 3 in total.
The first I can't quite remember but I believe it was sexual in nature so I kicked out of it
The second I was laying down in a bed, and there was a head by my right hip which looked like the baby dinosaur from that 90's tv show about the family of dinosaurs. It was praying for me in tongues and I was excited thinking it was blessing me or something till I realized I was going into a sleep paralysis state so I kicked out. When I woke I realized it was demon tongues.
The third there was a strong man who had me captive in the open I wasn't caged or anything. He would chase me along highways and roads and I would run from him but it was as if I was toying with him secretly. I'd let him catch me and hit me. I'd pretend his attacks would hurt me to please him or something? As if to make him think he had control(but somehow he did have control). I ran again and he caught me, attacked me. as I became tired of running I layed down on the road and he layed down behind me like spooning? And I got up because I knew he was gonna try something perverse. As I was running I yelled something about Jesus to him or rebuked him and he mocked me and said something along the lines of Jesus wasn't real or wasn't going to save me. Then my alarm woke me.
I think the Lord might be trying to show me that I'm playing with these demons or something. Or I'm wanting to be bound by them or am familiar with them. Or I don't want to be free or I like them too much. Like maybe Stockholm syndrome type deal? Im not too sure.

How often do you read the Bible? How often do you pray to God? These dreams are definitely attacks to stop you from progressing. Talk more to God every chance you get and rebuke any dreams like this. Also pray against them. The one with the demon chasing you could indicate hidden pride if you were toying with it. It catching you could indicate spiritual weakness. Sexual stuff in the dream is also bad, trying to make you weak and hinder your destiny. The tongues are probably curses in which you can condemn and break every evil spoken word against you. You should check out those prayers I posted on here in the prayers thread. Are you serious with God or are you just following because there is nothing else to do? This question goes together with how much time you spend with God.

I don't know if you've ever heard of Chris Dupre. His relationship with his Dad was definitely more extreme than yours, but he has an amazing testimony that includes meeting Jesus and ultimately the forgiveness and restoration he experienced with his Dad. I spend more of my days listening to sermons which I know doesn't make up for time alone hearing God etc. I Used to read for hours a day. It gets harder as time goes on. I usually pray throughout the day. Most of the time it feels like a brass heaven though. I follow him cause Jesus delivered me from several things when I cried out to Him.. One of them was suicide though. I'm on borrowed time. I think He told me shortly after being delivered I was gonna kill myself in about a month. I didn't test the spirits but I'm sure he was the one that told me. I'd like to think I'm serious about God. If not I'd be right back to where I was and maybe worse but I don't know. Maybe I'm not serious. |
