I'm going to an anime convention tomorrow and I plan on giving gifts to four different voice actors. Included in the gifts are gospel related material.

Was only able to give 3/4 gifts to the actors I wanted to. Going to try to mail the last one to the company where one of them works to see if they can receive the last one their. I had to leave because my brother needed to go back to town. He gave the third one while I gave the other two during a different event going at the same time. Each gift had a note explaning the gift and gospel related material inside.

Nothing says "please feel up the void in my heart" like being otaku Will be praying for those people. Its always awesome when someone influential n famous around certain circles comes to Christ and shares their testimony. I think thats powerful

Bless your soul and may God give you boldness in spreading the fullness and beauty and overpowering wisdom and perfection of His gospel. The upside-down backwards inside-out nature of God's way from every way of the world can still overawe me. Not just the sacrifice, not just the love, not just the grace, not just the adoption, but even the sanctification and the blessing of pouring yourself out to God's perfect way, not in self-seeking but self-sacrifice. Everything the world cannot even understand, much less do is given to us freely as gifts, if only we could see His way as the greatest blessings instead of painful suffering and not getting what we want. (What we want in our flesh is evil! )

I think thats powerful Im confused a bit about the otaku and heart setence? otaku - imagine a person who is a loner and maybe even a social outcast and suffers from loneliness. the anime will act as the thing which will fill the voids of that person's heart. essentially it is an escape from reality by diving into fantasy in attempt to fill the various voids and emptiness of the heart. it is something i can relate to. i am involved with that, so i can relate. but i havent hit the extreme of being an otoku neet. (the good news is that i learned japanese from the years of watching anime. due to that, i have enough understanding and knowledge on the eastern languages that i can retranslate the original greek scriptures into modern day english.) to get out of it i would need to be able to fully yield myself to Jesus, which i am having a really hard time doing, so i would need prayer for to be able to do so.

I can say that I use to use anime as a feeling void filler. So I understand, but that was a place until Christ bust through and redeemed me.

I meant that people immersing themselves in different reality have a void in their heart. I know i did. I would watch anime every single day. I had little manga collection as well. Since i came ro Christ i gave up every geeky thing i was involved with. Things that were so precious for me cause they were filling up all my voids. I used to play videogames till i would fall out of exhaustion. All those fantasies were like a big part of my life. Its like i didnt have my own or i didnt like my own. Even tho it was a part of my life for such a long time i didnt find it difficult at all to completely give it up. its interesting cause smoking (i smoked for years) and lust stuff i also gave up literally in seconds. But metal music was the one that stuck to me like glue.
Now what i believe is that our eyes and ears are gates to our souls and we have to be careful what we let in thru them. We can never distant ourselves from what we are watching cause it will always enter us some way. Thats why i gave up anime and all the marvel/dc stuff. I feel its vain now. Yet im being hyprocrite cause i find myself watching absurd youtube videos THAT I CLEARLY SEE influence me and pull me into the world. I believe its important to guard those gates and our hearts.
