Hi fotm, I´m posting for the third/fourth time since my beginning here, and I´m not good at follow ups on my contributions. Sorry for that. I have a question regarding male permanent contraceptin, ie vasectomy. I´m 41, long time married, two sons 10/8. I´ve asked the Lord about it, and thre is no identifiable answer. But he is guiding typing me here, .
On the physikal side i´m not against the procedure. A normal doctor can do it with little to fear side effects. The alternative is for my wife and my normal sex life, restricted through condoms. Or a much heavier procedure for my wife, or ongoing treatment for her.
I would have done a vasectomy sooner, but: I wish to life a life for the Lord and ONE time I heard a sermon that a men who freely amputates himself in that form is not in the perfekt will of Him. Typing it out makes it more ridiculous! But it hindered me for years. So my question is: What is the viewpoint of fotm on that matter. Can you pray for me. I´m from germany and can´t see the life streams direct to ask such a question. But I watch erveryone later.
(I catched the last part of the last live stream "for the other part of the world" but was not aware enough to ask then.)
I´ll read here what my fellow christians have to say and maybe Doug, or annyone else, can remark it in one of the next livestreams.
Thank You Stephan

Dear brother, thank you for your comment. On the most recent livestream today I have asked Doug and Cindy concerning your question. The short answer is there is nothing inherently wrong with it. You can see their full answer here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp7r2miwjSk&t=15m4s&feature=youtu.beThey host livestreams where people can ask questions on Monday and Thursday nights 6pm CST (Central Standard Time). It's a time to fellowship with others in the chat and hear their questions, prayer requests, or general welfare as well. God bless you, I love you, and I hope this helps. Be blessed in Jesus name and I will be praying for you. — Dominique
