Hi you all
Pray you have all been doing well and strengthened on your walk with the Lord!
I was wondering if any of you have experienced discerning spirits on a lower degree so you don't see the demon but you are able to discern when there is a spirit on a person and when they speak. I tend to get extremely uncomfortable when I sense it off someone. However I also think being uncomfortable around the person is kind of being judgmental because I know I am called to walk in love and it should not affect how i feel or interact with a person.
So I guess my question is for those with you with the Gift of Discerning of Spirits how do you handle the discomfort when you discern spirits off of people?
Do you ever fall into temptation of a critical spirit, and if so how do you overcome this?
What is the difference between just being critical and having discernment?
Anyway, Love you all <3 Godbless

Good question, I don’t have an answer but know exactly what you may be going through as the same happened to me. I actually almost went nuts because all I could focus on was people or myself manifesting all day everyday. And even having the critical spirit etc.. I had to ask God to normalize me and give me what I could handle and just not have everything way dialed up unless he wanted it to be.

- So I guess my question is for those of you with the Gift of Discerning of Spirits how do you handle the discomfort when you discern spirits off of people?
- Do you ever fall into temptation of a critical spirit, and if so how do you overcome this?
- What is the difference between just being critical and having discernment?
- To answer your first question, God's hatred is toward the demons and the sin, not the person. So when you find yourself in those situations... your prayers should be directed against the sin and the demons (leaders) tempting them to continue in it. However, you love the people with Christ's love so that they would see the truth.
( Psalm 141:5-6 NLT — [5] Let the godly strike me! It will be a kindness! If they correct me, it is soothing medicine. Don’t let me refuse it. But I pray constantly against the wicked and their deeds. [6] When their leaders are thrown down from a cliff, the wicked will listen to my words and find them true.) - To answer your second question, yes, I believe everyone but Jesus has fallen to a critical spirit. Why? Because we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23-26). Everyone on this earth still sees through a glass darkly. We get stuff wrong a bunch of times... but if we are willing, we can learn and grow from our mistakes and mature (1 Corinthians 13:9-12). We fight the critical spirit by taking captive every thought, discarding the ones that are not like Jesus while holding on to and applying those that are (2 Corinthians 10:3-6).
- To answer your third question, I believe the difference in just being critical versus having true discernment lies in what you see. I'm not talking about just the physical but the spiritual and all aspects as a whole. Being just critical ONLY sees the negative, it only sees the darkness but never the good (the light). It stops at the bad without any hope of things changing. However, true discernment sees the perfect, the bad, and the ugly, but pushes you toward the perfect while giving you true hope that you can get there.

Amen this was very clear and solid! Thanks Oh yeah if it’s critical Spirit it usually has fleshy stuff involved. - So I guess my question is for those of you with the Gift of Discerning of Spirits how do you handle the discomfort when you discern spirits off of people?

I had to ask God to normalize me and give me what I could handle and just not have everything way dialed up unless he wanted it to be. I think I felt uncomfortable because I felt as if the demon noticed me notice it. And it was causing the person to have these strange random outbursts of manifestation btw didn’t handle it well mainly tried to go around it.I really should have prayed for them but I didn’t while in that specific interaction. Praise God though as he puts us in those situations I believe he will also show us what to do I don’t think I have it on such as dialed up but sometimes I pick up things usually I just pray for them in my head but the scenario I mentioned previously was a lot more upfront.
