I was told that God does not listen to the prayers of non believers and sinners. But I have difficulty wrapping my head around this because I have seen the Lord answer the cries of non believers and sinners the like and pour his mercy and repentance on them. Any thoughts? And scriptures concerning this? Godbless you all ❤❤❤❤

God hears prayer and answers according to His mercy and loving-kindness (Matthew 5:45; Exodus 33:19; Romans 9:14). Especially those who are most like Jesus. Nevertheless, if a righteous man begins to turn to willful, deliberate sin (unbelief) without repenting God will not hear His prayer (Psalms 66:18). However, if an unrighteous man begins to turn from sin and to God, God will hear from Heaven and answer(Luke 18:9-14). The Father in Heaven may hear the prayer of someone walking in deliberate, but it's because of his mercy. Look at the most evil King in the history of Judah (Manasseh) whose prayer was heard by God (2 Chronicles 33:13) I will link what he did wrong below. www.aboutbibleprophecy.com/p79.htm#manasseh1

Yeah that is what I was thinking >_< I am not actually sure what a true non believer is Ill be honest that I went with whatever is culturally considered a nonbeliever, I actually heard the Lord say to me "that He doesnt know he knows me yet" which means I might have to repent from saying that hes a non believer. To my awareness he does not practice any kind of witchcraft or anything of the sort, but I do know that his family pays people to pray for him. This question is really loaded....
James 5:16 King James Version (KJV) 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
1 Peter 3:7 7 Likewise, shusbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker tvessel, since they are heirs with you1 of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
These are just off my head from the NT. Seems to suggest righteousness could effect prayers. And yet how many countless muslims or Hindus or whatever prayed and or cried out to God and got specific answers to prayer? There must be millions. Does that suggest their god has great power, don’t think so. It’s more likely even in their error,God did hear them and still answered even though He knew they’d end up crediting it to their demon gods instead of Him. Kinda goes to show how much He really does love us stinkers. I’m reminds me of one of Doug’s videos on the cup model. If He answered your prayer when you have tons of yellow and red stuff it was probably out of mercy.
Although For us who have the light; the way we act probably has more effect on our prayers/how we pray than unbelievers seeing as we’re not in ignorance.
I’m not saying I’m right or this explication is even close but maybe something to consider.

I definitley have seen the Lord answer prayers in mercy, and considering how bad I stunk from my sin in the past and even the way i handle situations now and my slips in attitude and intention, his undeserving grace and mercy still puts me in awe. Man we are just sooo unworthy of how good he is and EVERYTHING that he is. To know such a great God sees such a tiny ant and cares for all aspects of our lives and our hearts. Who are we to really ask for more than just to have him. Its a blessing to be humbled by the greatness of his love and his holiness. I really hope that everyone gets a chance to know just how good how loving how amazing and intricate he is. <3<3<3 This question is really loaded.... When an 'unbeliever' cries out to God and in his heart is really seeking the true God, then He sees those prayers. But if a person is throwing out prayers half hearted or still stubborn in their own sins and thinking they will receive His favor and 'open ears', then nope. Yeah, God is omnipresent and omnicient, He already knows everything, it's not that He is deaf, but it does mean He wont take those prayers 'seriously', but will turn a 'deaf ear' to it.
