Let be start off by saying I've been told I'm a gullible person. I desperately want Christianity to be true so I suspend all disbelief in the hopes that It might actually be true. Truth be told I have been searching for God on and off for over 4 years and haven't been able to find him. Nothing that would stand in court or even when just trying to witness to someone. I can rationalize it all out in my head as a result of watching Doug's videos...it makes sense on paper. But when it really comes down to it I can't see how any rational person would conclude Christianity is true. I'm starting to think that becoming Christian requires certain levels of self delusion. How else can so many people who have never seen or heard from God be so CERTAIN he exists? Please help. I'm getting desperate for answers.

I think this video will help you. Finding the Mountain of Moses: The Real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia: youtu.be/YjrxHqNy5CQThere's other videos on YouTube that actually show more detail about the mt sonai. But this video in the link has more high production and kinda condenses longer videos on YouTube that talk about this subject in more detail.

Larry gave a great answer. In fact there is enormous evidence of Jesus, even from a secular point of view. Pray fervently for it.
But I also testify to you that of a certainty we (fotm and others) have heard Jesus speak directly to us, seen miracles, and know for sure He's there.
Anyone who is willing to do God's will, will know the teaching Jesus taught, whether it was of God, or Jesus spoke from Himself.
Jesus said that.
But what you need to be willing to do is believe whatever Jesus says and obey it.
Like, taking up your cross every day, not as an ornament, but to die. That you may be dead and Christ alive in you.
It's a total surrender of your life. If God were real and Jesus true, would make you willing to give *everything* to God... Then you will surely know Jesus spoke of God.
If in actuality, you aren't willing to surrender, and are proud, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
God bless. Praying for you.

You said one other thing that I wanted to reply to.
How can so many believe what they haven't seen? It seems like they must be delusional...
Many ARE delusional, but it's because they rejected the truth, (die to self, often) and took pleasure in a lie.
But Jesus Himself says that the one who obeys Him, He will COME to them. They will see Him.
I know many who have seen Him, even face to face. Doug's testimony about what happened to Him is one good example, if you haven't seen it.

Ok then I have a couple more questions then. For what reason does a person come to want to serve God in the first place? The default state of our flesh is to RESIST dying right? Why would we be willing to pay such a high price to attain something we don't know for sure is true? It makes perfect sense for someone who is addicted to drugs or depressed or in a similar desperate situation where they have relative little to lose and a lot to gain. What about your average person?
I for example think Doug's testimony makes a lot of sense when it comes to explaining his motivation. It's one thing to sacrifice a little bit based on a hope but what about when it hurts? When I have REALLY have to suffer for my faith I borrowing Doug's faith in God is going to work.

*I don't think borrowing Doug's faith is going to work.

Ok then I have a couple more questions then. For what reason does a person come to want to serve God in the first place? The Bible says this: "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day." - John 6:44 and this: "...He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." - John 15:5 It's very counter-intuitive to what the world teaches us, but God says that everything good comes from Him. We can't save ourselves. We can't seek Him ("there is no one who seeks God"), that just like an Ethiopian can't change his skin or a leopard his spots, so we can't change ourselves. God bless, bro. Ask whatever questions you like. Glad to be able to help.
