Who else out there has been filled with the spirit, but sinned after that occurred? particularly lying or masturbation. Anyone?

I guess being filled with the Holy Spirit to me means being born again. Even the Apsotles kept being filled after Pentecost.
I've lied, since being born again, but try not do it anymore. With masturbation I don't try to do that anymore, but sometimes I search about anime or watch a video about anime and in some of the videos or websites have heavy sexualized characters/stuff. I don't masturbate to it, but I know it grieves God because it's big fat waste of time. Since most anime has demonic or sexual stuff in it. Beforehand though the preview of the website or video is pretty obvious what the theme is, but I click it sometimes out of bordem/lack of purpose.
Masturbation to me is just another form of lust.
God bless you with all/anything I have that I have to help you overcome masturbation liked He helped me with after a couple of years after being born again.

Who else out there has been filled with the spirit, but sinned after that occurred? particularly lying or masturbation. Anyone? I empathize with you, and care. But I love you enough to tell you the truth, too. "Anyone who continues sinning has neither seen Him, or known Him." "The one who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning." Jesus was made manifest for this reason... To destroy the works of the devil. And He will. Do fear God. Do admit to Him you still sin, and cry out all the more to be set free from slavery to sin and death, as He promised. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." But please don't be condemned. That's not my intent. I only want you to believe that God offers true freedom to those who persist in seeking it, and overcome.

Who else out there has been filled with the spirit, but sinned after that occurred? particularly lying or masturbation. Anyone? Please answer questions. 1. What is going on in this below scripture? “But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.” Galatians 2:7-17 2. One of the goals is to not sin but if you do sin then we can ask for forgiveness because of repentance and God’s mercy. However if you keep apologizing without changing your ways and don’t try to make an effort to stop then is that really repentance? “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2

Yeah, I can. I had problems with this too for a while. But I realized that if Jesus really meant something too me, I cannot dishonor him like this. As you grow in your walk with the Lord you will find He is much more understanding and forgiving than any human ever will be. But understanding this will only come about when you really realize He is crazy in love with you and always has been. When that happens you'll stop. Love you too. Michael
