One part of the video that got my attention a lot. Was when he brought up his story about a missionary group helping people Mexico painting a wall. Doug said how it was a burden to take care of those people from the United States, instead of using that money to go over to Mexico by plane. The group from the U.S. could have just paid someone that lived in Mexico to paint it for that group in Mexico and used the rest to just give to the group in Mexico to help them. And also he brought up how that group from the United States wasn't there to teach the people Mexico, but the people from Mexico we're going to teach the people from United States because they had less physical things, but had more joy of the Lord.

Yeah, I saw the video.
Yep, that part is pretty interesting. We always wanna make sure our time and money is being used in a good and fruitful way. Although, if the U.S. group is truly learning and benefiting from the whole experience, then perhaps it is all worth it.

Doug has made a point in a past video that it's way more cost effective to support national missionaries, than sending a foreign one overseas. Because the national one already knows the language and they fit in much better (parpahased). I womder how national vs foreign missionaries applies to unreached people groups?

Yep - local missionaries often make much more sense than foreign ones. This point is made well in the book Revolution in World Missions by K.P. Yohannan, which Doug reviews here - www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3p9BVTXkmg As for reaching the unreached people groups, perhaps it makes sense to send people who are the most similar culturally and linguistically... Unless that would make them appear to be enemies (some tribes are probably accustomed to being at war with their neighbors). In that case perhaps it makes sense to send somebody different.
