A quote from the red dragon book:
"The book itself is His word, but it's not Him. We can't have relationship with a book, even a beautiful,
glorious, living Word – we're ultimately supposed to worship Him, not His Word."
Why did he capitalize Word instead of saying word? He is technically saying we can't have relationship with Christ? Not worship Christ? Even though i have heard him say in one of his videos that we are at some point not to worship Christ but the Father (Could have been in one of the baptism of fire videos or something i don't remember which video) however he is one God. Though I get that they are distinct and not suppose to worship the Holy Spirit.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." (1 John 5:7)
Revelation 5
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
Another quote from the book:
"Do I make mistakes? Yes. Sometimes I hear wrong, sometimes I pester Him into allowing something He'd rather
not allow, but He humors me to teach me a lesson. Sometimes I ask “Can I” instead of “Should I”. (That one got
me into a lot of trouble until He explained the difference and wrote it on my heart!) At times I have been under a
Red Dragon of my own making and heard what I was sure was God, but it was a lying spirit from the Throne
intent on my destruction for having gone my own way. Sometimes the people around me hear wrong and I don't
double-check with Him. Sometimes I just pop off before asking what I should say. Sometimes I've spoken out
revelation that was just for me personally and not for any other ears. But it's getting better all the time and I don't
ever ask Him to turn down the refining fire."
How can we fully trust God that we won't fall but then sometimes we fall/ make mistakes that can land a red dragon, even though we trusted Him to keep us from falling? In my experience it was to bring more revelation for either yourself or others but it can be shared with both especially if someone goes through the same situation. Though it wasn't really falling it was more of training/ teaching. However i get that sometimes we shouldn't say things which is why i try not to rely on a voice but grow in understanding and wisdom to make these decisions while not leaning on my own understanding. Even though it's the Lord that reveals this to me and I can't take credit for making right decisions or being in His will. I have also heard Doug say he has heard all three, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, what does that mean?
"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13)
"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." (John 15:5)
2 Peter 1, Jude 1:24
