I think the Gideon video or whatever you are talking about is on the videos linked on the actual fellowship of the martyrs webpage. Or it’s an article. I can’t remember

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.” (1 Peter 3:18-20) What do you guys think of this scripture? Does it mean actual spirits imprisoned in Sheol (or something) or could it mean actual people in prison? Yeah, I’ve never quite understood what Peters talking about. Why would Jesus go preach to the dead. Unless those who died before Christ were given another chance or something.

Yeah angel couldn’t sin so Christopher I don’t know if the thief being an angel make sense. I’m not saying your definitely wrong but it dosent seem to line up with my scripture interpretation. Yeah, the whole "thief being an angel" thing isn't really my revelation so I can't really attest to its truth. If I could find the testimony, which I can't at the moment, it might make more sense. In any case, if you really want to know I recommend you seek God on it because I don't think he wants us relying on our own interpretation of scripture.

A lot of people (could be a common Catholic belief, I don’t know) believe that Jesus went and preached in Hell. It’s sort of along the same lines as Doug’s video on how Jesus got out of Hell. Those that believed went with Him or something like that.

In Revelation Jesus talks about how he has the keys of hades & death. I think the devil had those keys before the cross. Hebrews 2:14-15 "Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death-that is, the devil- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. " "

Reminds me of m.youtube.com/watch?v=SQpzY7Ku8WY the testimony of Angelica who saw hell. Jesus has the keys so he can enter and exit he can bring others with him. Have you guys ever read Mary K Baxter’s book?
