Does that limit how God can work through us? If someone doesn't believe God talks to people, prophets & apostles are still around, gifts of the spirit, and seriousness of spiritual warfare. Will all this make a bigger burden for the person who decides to work for God?

I think it does create a bigger burden because if you don't believe in these things you have to attempt to do everything yourself.

Yes putting God in a box can limit God. If you say that God doesnt talk to people, then he may not talk to you. That will seriously limit your relationship with him. If you say that miracles ceased, then you most likely will not get a chance to see miracles in your lifetime.
When you put God in a box, then you are essentially putting your walk with God in a box as well. You will end up with a form of Godliness but lacking some, if not all, of the power thereof. the more you have God boxed up, the more shallow your walk with God will be.
