So prophet Sadhu Sundar selvaraj said that God showned him that Pope Francis’s is the false prophet of revelation 13. If this is true it probably won’t be long until the Antichrist rise and the great tribulation to start. Do you guys believe that the great tribulation could start in the next 4 to 10 years? If so how can we prepare ourself for tribulation? Links on what he said m.youtube.com/watch?v=lhowCn8CnVw. Other interesting thing in Doug dialogue with Gods book there is a line where the Lord says to Doug “Lot’s of people you love are going to die. Some really ugly stuff is coming.” I don’t know if this is indicating tribulation? That line was from paragraph 10 line 6 of Diaologue with God -7/9/2006- Parkville, Missouri

" - Luke 21:36 NIV " Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. " - Matthew 24:20 NIV Seems the anti Christ will have an army. " His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. " - Daniel 11:31 NIV I think America has to fall and after some time the tribulation will start after that.

People are literally going crazy. And ofc couldnt be more against Gods law could it? We are on the highway to persecution too I feel so much stuff are yet to happen but it all really happens sooo fast.

What does it mean that your flight is not in a sabbath or winter? It's from Matthew 24 about when the end will come. One thing that needs to occur is a great distress that causes people to flee from Jerusalem to the mountains.

But I don’t live in Jerusalem.

But I don’t live in Jerusalem. I think it's a prayer addressed to all Christians.

Also how does it affect the sabbath or winter?

Also how does it affect the sabbath or winter? I don't know. Just Jesus said to pray it doesn't happen on those periods.

This talk about "Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath" got me thinking about an important point I once heard concerning Matthew 24. It has to do with the questions that Jesus was answering. See, this started when Jesus foretold the destruction of the Temple. And then the disciples said to him, “Tell us, (1) when will these things be, and (2) what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” My point is that the focus tends to be on the second part rather than the first. But we ought to be alert for things in Matthew 24 that have to do with the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD and are not about things yet in the future. But to clarify, I think any given verse could be about 70 AD, or about the very last days, or perhaps there are spirals going on and it pertains to both times. I bring this up because the flight away from Jerusalem and Judea sounds a lot like what actually occurred around 70 AD. If we look in Luke's gospel, he seems to be talking about this time period specifically ( Luke 21:20-24). I expect that there is a connection here between these two different times. As far as winter and the Sabbath are concerned, it kinda seems like on one level it's just practical - fleeing during the winter sounds like it would be tougher, and perhaps the Sabbath would present additional difficulties as well. But I don't think that's all there is to it. There's probably something deeper going on...

This whole thread and the video of Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj really got me thinking of how close things are to the end. It got me to read all of Revelation today and I thought about how almost everyone, including myself, are still entangled with a lot of the things of the world despite being so close to the end. We really need to lay it all down. Like Doug says, it's gotta get to the point where a gun can be put to our head and our only response is, "Go ahead! Shoot! I hate this place anyway." We're supposed to be already dead to ourselves so what's a little bullet to put us out of our misery and bring us in blazing glory back to our true home.
This isn't even an option either, if people think they'll be able to live like the world, and then God will give them grace through tribulation, they have another thing coming. Our salvation is not even our own, we're to bear the burdens that Jesus bore and drink of the same cup (I don't know if it's necessarily a command directly to us, but something along those lines is). We're to lift up our brothers and sisters, our fellow humans in prayer.
So to answer the question about what we can do to prepare? Ask God to refine us as fast as possible, no matter what it takes because "the prayer of a righteous man availeth much". Remember: "your growth in Christ is directly proportional to your willingness to run headlong into the refining fire and give it a big, wet, sloppy kiss". Peter went from denying Christ 3 times to, after Pentecost, where he gets beat and "rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name." Now it definitely wasn't Peter doing that, it was Jesus. If you don't want it bad enough, ask God to help you want it bad enough. If you can't lay everything down, ask Him to help you or even to take it from you anyway. Trust me, it's gonna be worth it in eternity. It's gonna be worth it when we get to look our Lord in the eye and he's gonna say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." When we'll be able to say, "I got to be like Jesus!" He'll sort out the details, just be willing to obey and run out into the front lines of the battle when He asks.

Decided to make a separate post in order to not disrupt the flow of the last one It's really cool how we get to be partakers of this amazing plan that God is carrying out. Ephesians 3:9-10 "to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places." Something cool that Art Katz pointed out in a sermon, God created all things so that His wisdom might be made known, or displayed/demonstrated through us to the same principalities and powers of darkness talked about in Ephesians 6:12. That being said, here are a couple of sermons that put me on my face in case anyone needs a good impartation of urgency and view of eternity. "Ten Shekels and a Shirt" by Paris Reidhead ( Better quality version on my website under sermons, not trying to advertise it, just cleaned it up so it's easier to listen to and understand) A Call To Apostolicity by Art Katz (Don't try to listen to this one with natural ears, definitely a toughie)
