The Bible tell us not to put our trust in man. So What about are brothers and sisters in Christ. Any human is callas of betraying our trust. We are required to love each other. But if we were betrayed we probably will forgive but will we be able to trust that brother or sister again. I thought about this and realized that only by being betrayed and having our broken can we understand Gods pain when we sin against him and how he gives us so many chances. So embrace the pain the heartbreak tear down the walls of ours heart and love the brethren even if they hurts us again and again relish the pain. Is this what it means to rejoice in affliction and suffering?

Doug has a video (i think the unforgiveness one) where he uses the analogy of us stabbing jesus in the heart and then jesus opening his arms and forgiving and not holding any grudge or wall against them. I think rejoice means to be glad. Be glad you are persecuted because something good will come out of it. Either you will show them the love of Christ and make them repent or your heavenly rewards will be greater for standing for God. So be glad and rejoice in all affliction. When we suffer more on earth we will appreciate heaven much more when we get there.

Praise God! I agree I think we should be spent by the time we get there.
