If you are a new creation in Christ and the old man is dead. Then what does being yourself actually even mean? If we are to transform into the image of Christ and put on the mind of Christ and avoid all fleshy lusts/ pleasures then what keeps us from looking different from other christians? Im just asking because i don't really have desire for anything other than doing the work of the kingdom so i can't really get ahold of who i am. I know who i am in Christ, but i just don't know me anymore. All I'm trying to do is follow Jesus Christ, love God and others, and be humble and obedient. How do christians have different personalities if we are supposed to be like Christ?

We are created in His image. So what does His image mean? It means different personalities of Him. We all may not get along with any idea you have or vice versa. After all He created us to be different just as He is. Doug said it before to no matter what we believe we should all get along. Well at least something like that

You still have your preferences, things you enjoy, ways you communicate, things you like to wear, and also different gifts that shape you. You still you but cleaner if that makes sense.

Makes sense about what moni says. Im not really sure about the idea about different personalities of God, but perhaps different parts of the scale on the spectrum of who God is which is Love.

Maybe i worded it wrong but i mean different aspects of God were weaved into our very being. Something we do even in sin before being awakened to Christ. For example when i am not in sin or disobedience. I always wanted to help people by giving or lending help. After all our dna is part of Gods Divine natured attributes. So we are made for what we will go through or do during the life here on earth. Sorry if i don't explain this well enough. Its not my forte
