Are Christians suppose to tolerate the hypocrisy of other Christians and not call them out for it or edify them? Isn’t that why the church is so messed up today? I’m not angry at people who don’t believe in God, I’m just a little impatient with them if they claim to be a child of God, but when other people tell me about being slow to anger I just feel like they don’t get what I’m trying to say. What about Jesus and the Pharisees as well as overturning the money tables and whipping people in the temple. Are we allowed to have righteous anger or is that only for God?

Proverbs 24 24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: 25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
Proverbs 27 5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.
Proverbs 28 23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
1 Timothy 5 20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
2 Timothy 4 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine
Revelation 3 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Also Peter was rebuked by Jesus and Paul.

There is a difference between a Christian that is trying to live Holy and one not even trying. Christians need to keep growing as much as they can. Peter was rebuked before he got the Holy Spirit and people still make mistakes, but need to be willing to apply what they learned to not repeat those mistakes. No one is perfect yet, but we can still be mature and learn from our mistakes. A lot of Christians in church don't like to talk about or are ignorant of how we need to live Holy lives through the Holy Sprit's help. Also don't talk about how we're children of God now and main label of a Christian shouldn't be a sinner. We need to be the light on the hill to inspire other towards Christ. Doug talks about how we need to be careful what we say because it can influence our walk (paraphrase statement). " and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive. " - Titus 2:10 "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. " - Proverbs 18:21 (A video link expanding more about the child of God vs be called a sinner as a main label.) "Man challenges all Christians - wait until you see this" www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QZKVhBfFR4&index=1&list=PLSZBQ2qCQeP5lBI1vBgxc0i-g4vfqIGWpEdit: Also some people are ignorant about how we can receive more of the Holy Spirit and there's a baptism of the Holy Spirit and Baptism of Fire. AKA it's possible to receive more of God after water baptism or being born again. Edit 2: " You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. " - Revelation 3:17 People always need "needs" or else they wouldn't be necessities.

"That servant who knows his master’s will but does not get ready or follow his instructions will be beaten with many blows. But the one who unknowingly does things worthy of punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from him who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded. Another important verse to remember is we'll be judged based on how much we actually know. " - Luke 12:47-48 Doug mentioned how our doctrines are not what saves us, but it is Jesus that saves us (paraphrased statement, can't remember the exact words he used). Another thing maybe God taught me just now is, would most of the parables Jesus taught like the sheep & the goats or the good & bad fish, would that only apply to people who have heard that gospel? With people who haven't heard the gospel, just not be able to go to heaven, because of the lack of the ability to make a decision rooted in faith in Jesus Christ? Edit: Maybe this video will help explain my point in this whole post. "The most obscure parable of Jesus" www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy6BEbBMjOs

Well i think you missed where Peter was rebuked by Paul (after he got the Holy Spirit). I wasn't talking about christians who were trying to grow. I was talking about the ones who keep willfully sinning and not even trying to be holy. You didn't really explain why you posted 1 Peter 2:1. Im all for inspiring others towards Christ, but when they have already found Christ and refuse to grow then there is concern. I don't really understand how the rest of what you said relates either. Forgive me, but not all who call themselves christians are children of God and are actually doing more harm to the faith than good.

Forgive me, but not all who call themselves christians are children of God and are actually doing more harm to the faith than good. I edited my post to include how "people still make mistakes" to answer that instance of rebuke from Paul. Peter learned and applied what he learned from that mistake. That is true a lot of people can say they're children of God and not be one, but also they can be one, but put to sleep by the devil or the world's pleasures. "Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. " - Revelation 3:2 I posted 2 Peter 1 to show how we need to get rid of all hypocrisy and try/need to live holy through the Holy Spirit. If people don't understand or at least know what God has written down in the bible. Then it makes it more difficult to leave a holy life. Example the bible says to be sober minded and pray. People can't be sober minded if they're drunk or do drugs like marijuana. Jesus said in the beatitudes to thirst after righteous. If someone is thirsty they should go after the drink, but some people go after different things to satisfy their thirsts that only Jesus can fulfill. I need to be dedicated to prayer time with God as an example to myself to give. Side question: Did Paul rebuke Peter after he had the dream of God telling him to eat all the animals? If so I wonder how long the time was between that event and the rebuke? Because I thought that dream was to prevent that rebuke in the first place? Doesn't the dream represent Peter/Jews can hangout with gentiles?

Well assuming they are christians then they should have at least read the bible. I know there are christians who have never read the bible, which means they don't really love God enough to learn what He has said.

Well assuming they are christians then they should have at least read the bible. I know there are christians who have never read the bible, which means they don't really love God enough to learn what He has said. I think some of those people could be baby Christians and don't want to grow after a while. Then they die spiritually because of only seeking milk and not meat. Plus there's verses like Revelation 13:7-8 in the bible that make things a lot more complicated. What is important though our we being the light on the hill and sharing the gospel? The world can easily see if we're living the way Jesus said we need to be living. For some people we can share the gospel and others we can only share our lived out lives. For some people our lived out lives may be the only bible/part of Jesus people will see. I think things would be a lot more easier if we could hear God really well or clear up whatever is making all the static. I think we're making it more complicated than it needs to be. Isaiah 58 and James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. " Side note: The bible uses the words 'religion' and 'doctrine' in ways that we should keep in mind of or monitor closely in how we view them. Examples are James 1:27 and 1 Timothy 4:16 "Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. " ^ Maybe it applies to being in a teaching position?

Also remember we need to spend time with God alone and there's difference between godly sorrow vs worldy sorrow. (There's a verse about it.) This video expands on spending time with God and just doing stuff for him. youtu.be/8nHgnY82FxE

i spend almost my whole day with God alone. Godly sorrow is why i started feeling impatient with other christians who keep hurting God who is my best friend and Father as well as others when they should be practicing love. This is the true repentance that godly sorrow leads to. When you are tired of hurting others and God so you turn from your wicked ways. I don't see how revelation 13:7-8 or the other scriptures you mentioned ties into any of what we are discussing either. There is nothing complicated in calling out another christian's hypocrisy.
