I have been self examining myself for a year and I have determined that I am a false convert. I heard the gospel at a young age and though I don't remember the exact circumstances, I guess I thought that if I believed in Jesus, I would be forgiven and not go to hell. So I got excited, was baptized that day, and then went on to live an unchanged life. About a year ago, I ran across a commentary on Hebrews 10 that really grabbed my attention. My porn and masturbation habit was immediately gone because I was scared that I was acting like someone who didn't know God, so I cut it out. Turns out there was more behind the hood so to speak, like I really didn't know God even though I thought I did, and I am living in pride and self righteousness. I've lived life for my own purposes while thinking I was good with God. Now I have a very hardened heart. I've searched myself for a genuine desire for Jesus and cannot find one aside from not going to hell. That to me is the telling mark that I may be done for. I have no illumination when I read the Bible, prayers are not answered, could sit through Doug reading Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and not feel any genuine terror. When I was first convinced that I wasn't saved, I at first was scared but then I got angry. I guess I had lost my get out of hell free card and I got mad. Based on my reading of Hebrews 6, I must meet the criteria and therefore will never be able to repent and be saved since I have been exposed to so much light yet remain unchanged. I guess I don't understand how evil I really am. I have been turning myself inside out over this past year to repent and believe, but nothing seems to be working. Please pray that God would soften my heart and allow me to come. If I have not already crossed the line, I have to be close. Thank you.
Please read all of this and then tell me what you get out of reading it (what you think is being said).
They are separated into 3 sections. What is the main point of each section?Micah 6
8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

2 Timothy 2
15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
John 14
23 Jesus answered and said unto him,
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
Matthew 6
33 But
seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Romans 14
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Luke 17
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
2 Timothy 3
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Luke 3
7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
Isaiah 58
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
James 2
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

1 Corinthians 13
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not
charity, it profiteth me nothing.
1 Timothy 1
5 Now the end of the commandment is
charity out of a
pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
2 Timothy 2
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow
righteousness, faith,
charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a
pure heart.
Mark 7
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Matthew 15
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the
heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the
heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
James 4
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and
purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
