So I spoke with some brothers about Halloween. He said " See for me, I am not afraid of those things. I am safe in the knowledge that we are not empowering those demons we are going to worship the living God and crying out against the demonic actions. I don't think wearing a costume is inherently a bad thing, so I have no qualms dressing up." Then he state some examples of how Christmas is pagan too but we christiantinized it. He then said "I'm not saying you have to dress up, Im just letting you know that you don't have to be afraid that dressing up means you are sinning. We are called to live free lives and sons and daughters of God and that is what this costume party is about"
Is he right? Can we dress up? I don't recall dressing up for Halloween or doing trick treating for the last seven years ever since I got save. Because I know its bad holiday. I'm not saying I didn't do anyinthoing at all cause I can't remember all the way till 5 -7. but atleast in the last 3 to 4 years I don't think I did anything. But is he right can we christionize and take back holidays from the world?

Whether it’s sin or not maybe. But the point is the dangers of it spiritually. It opens you up for demonic attack or your protection could be lifted and other people could have more chance to put curses on you. Not to mention it’s celebrating the devils holiday. If you were truly following God you would search out these things and not participate in them. Worship is not limited to music and compliments. Worship can also be expressed through how we live our lives for God.
Doug had an experience where he had to pray for someone’s daughter who got a spirit of murder on her because the mom kept holloween stuff in the house when she was supposed to get rid of it.
I have had a spiritual experience about the spirit of murder recently, and it seems to line up with what that girl experienced.
Also with that logic of how those holidays have been “christianized”, doesn’t really make any sense nor does it have anything to do with the Bible or God. Prosperity gospel has been christianized as well but it doesn’t mean it’s of God. The romans old pagan religion has been christianized into Catholicism, but it’s still the same multiple diety worship just replacing their names with names from the Bible and other practices.
Holloween is a day that a lot of crime and demonic activity takes place. You might as well use quija boards if you are going to celebrate holloween, (obviously both are bad).

“But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.” 1 Corinthians 10:20-23

John Ramirez who was a satanic high priest that talked to the devil directly, and is now a Christian, spoke a bit on Halloween here: youtu.be/GuqFT-5mFfMI don’t see how Halloween can in any way be good, it’s taken from a pagan worship celebration where humans, animals, etc. would be sacrificed. Then what the catholic church did (like with Christmas and Easter), they took the bad day and made it a ‘holy’ day (it’s called syncretism). The problem here is that Jesus said NOT to be like the world. James 4:4 “You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.” Even then, the way Halloween is now isn’t holy at all. People celebrate death and evil spirits, and when we dress up and bring those evil decorations into our house and onto ourselves, we too are now open to that evil. Deuteronomy 7:26 “Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.” We are not to become the world in order to evangelize it. We are to be holy and set apart, that way our light may shine and bring people out of the darkness! In anything though, just like God can tell Hosea to marry a prostitute, He can tell one of us to do something with Halloween. If that happens, make sure it’s God, and it’s something we’re gonna have to be careful with. Having all our doors are shut and being practiced to discern good and evil is really important (Heb. 5:14).

I believe if you indulge in scary things its a heart issue I agree about the heart issue being one of the reasons. I also think it’s not about whether it’s scary or not but whether it’s demonic (or against God) or not.

Remember that dream you shared and I tried to interpret? I think about how there are people working against you or something but maybe it’s not really relevant or maybe the dream meant something else. Honestly there are a lot of witches in the church pretending to be Christian and holloween gives them some amount of power or legal ground/ open doors over other Christians.

You know, I actually attended a youth group for a while last year. I even became one of the youth leaders. So anyway, we had a pumpkin smash event where we all got pumpkins, wrote our fears on them and smashed them. During the time we were doing it, it honestly wasn't really edifying, it was just a "cool way" to do Halloween and make it "Christian". At that time, I had no idea about hearing God and demons and everything, but the whole taking something from the world and trying to appease God in that way really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Don’t worry I don’t follow that particular leader that much. I just go to this Core group in the Christian fellowship I attend on my college campus. The fellowship is one of the only few that believes in the gifts of the Holy Spirit I don’t think this mall group leader exactly reflects the entire organization. There are a few brethren there that Are definitely on fire for God. I think it will be fine. We are going to fall retreat to Lake Tahoe this weekend we are going to get ministered to by one of the pastors from the famous Bethel church in Redding. Our fellowship is connected with Assembly of God and apparently every month from now we are going to get a team of people from Bethel school of supernatural ministry and they are going to helps evangelize on our campus I think.

Honeslty sounds like a witchcraft ritual of some sort.

It is growing me when I was sinning in one weekend. One of the leaders not the Halloween one some how knew in the spirit that I was in trouble and contacted me. Another member who is not a leader but is a young 25 year old pastor help me get back on track recently. He feels pain when he sinskinda like what Doug talked about. I needed some believers for accountabiliti and stability in my Christian walk. They provide that structure.

Well just make sure you’re not conforming to something that’s not of God, but if their able to help you stay on track then maybe you should keep contact with them individually if that’s the only reason you attend Christian activity. But it’s obviously between you and God on what you should and shouldn’t do.
